The Best Defensive Ammo

I'm using the Critical Defense in 38 spec, 9mm, and 45acp. I really like the numbers on the ammo I am using for Velocity, penetration, and wound size. Thanks for the info and confirming I am using the right stuff for self defense.

I had some of that. It didn't feed right in one of my .45s so I switched everything over to HST. It runs in all of them. Much less confusing that way.
 
Black Hills Honey Badger 125 gr. Subsonic in my Hellcat and M&P Shield 9 as well as their 60 gr. in my M&P Bodyguard 380. I made the switch after some gel testing with various barriers after seeing that my previous JHP choice failed to expand reliably in all 3 pistols (10-15%). These rounds are maximized for short barreled CC pistols. Whatever you choose, make sure it runs reliably in your firearm.
 
I carry Guard Dog 105gr expanding hollow point in my XD-s. Good penetration numbers without overpenetrating, consistent expansion, and the FMJ feeds flawlessly every time.
