The Case for Custom Defense Guns

Should you use a custom gun for defense, why not, now, I probably wouldn’t use a $5,000.00 gun for this, but something like the performance center or custom shop guns, yea.

Thanks Anni, Good article with some good perspective.

I liked the part:
"I saw a post on social media recently in which the individual stated he had just bought a certain handgun and asked what modifications he should make to it. This is probably the biggest mistake a new gun owner can make. It’s like asking whether you should buy a Ford or a Chevy—that’s an answer you have to decide for yourself. And the only logical answer is found by shooting the gun a lot and then determining what modifications need to be made to aid your individual performance. We don’t make custom changes on a defense gun to look cool; we make them to improve our shooting."

What have found out is vehicles like Ford, Chevy or what ever vehicle, you need to drive it enough to know it before modifying anything....if at all. Same with firearms, you need to know it 1st which means shooting it. As much as manufactures try to make perfect clones, there are usually some unique differences to each individual one. Most if not all work for most people, some don't. Reasoning is not everyone's built the same, referring to both people and firearms.

Importantly, one of 1st questions a person should ask themselves when looking at guns for purchase is: "Does it feel comfortable, right or good in my hand." If not, I usually move on to one that does.
