Looking to comfortably carry an iron up-top without any concern for concealment? A chest holster may be just what you need.

I use both the Kenai & Diamond D chest holsters.

A chest holster is more suited for "Western" large 4-legged encounters, but the old US Tanker chest holster is handy & comfortable for carry when driving.
I agree that the tanker holster is very handy for carrying while driving. A cross draw holster is also handy when driving, especially for a lefty like me and in an older Ford F150 pick up truck with a bench seat...:) I have a New Model Vaquero with a 7.5 inch barrel(45 Colt) and I have a cross draw holster for it that I got off of Etsy and works great. I have thought about getting a chest holster for the Vaquero because it might be comfortable to use also..:)

I have used a sling holster or chest holster for about 40 years now for hunting. It's one of the most comfortable and easy to access options for both in a blind and still hunting with a handgun.

I have not gotten a new one yet for the Taurus 66. I sent the one with the Redhawk when but was sold.

My favorite was an old Bianchi Slinger for the Taurus which died years ago. I am looking at a Simply Rugged pancake holster with thier Chesty Puller straps. The nice thing with this is the ability to buy several holsters for different handguns and use the same strap system.

It would also probably be my go to daily carry for a handgun in a Katrina type emergency situation while working with my hands.

I've heard good reviews about Simply Rugged holsters. I like the idea of Chesty Puller straps with a holster. I wear suspenders sometimes, so a holster that used that type of straps might be useful..:)

I put a red dot on my S&W 629 3 inch barrel revolver and ran into a problem finding a holster.
I stumbled onto Simply Rugged Holsters and they made me a holster. I also ordered the Chesty Puller system. Fantastic rig, easy to adjust and very comfortable to wear.

Had a career wearing the US tankers holster and agree it was the way to go with one qualifier - the cross chest strap was just too restrictive. Last year purchased the reproduction WWII tanker/aircrew shoulder holster M3 from At the Front. It hangs in my ready room and I just sling it over my shoulder and buckle to my belt (optional) and ready to go. They now offer the M7 with the cross chest strap, but I think I'll pass.
