The Controversial C-clamp Technique

The famous and controversial C-clamp grip, is when the shooter extends his support arm, and aggressively grips the handguard with a thumb over bore.

This grip was largely popularized by the training movie Magpul Dynamics: The Art of the Tactical Carbine, in which Travis Haley and Chris Costa trained a group of students.

Have fun with that grip prone, or out of a car window, etc ..
a weapon can be employed many ways successfully. Sometimes all back to back

I tried it a little . Saw no advantage. Mostly these days I'm doing the Push/pull thing anyway. There IS an advantage there for me. And I imagine it'd be hard AF to do push/pull with your arm fully extended like that.

left handed fixes it unless you have a left handed twist, then right handed is the fix! it truly is, in my experiences.

The Costa C-Clamp has been around for 15 yrs.

It's not the end all. Whatever grip one uses to stabilize the platform to improve results is what matters.

i tried that a few times
just felt unnatural to me
but the fore grip i added from magpul helped my old hand steady the barrel a good bit if i am standing
other wise its prone and the bi pod takes up duty

It only works for me with an appropriate length handguard for 18 & 20" barrels.
