The Four Federal Gun Control Efforts Trump Should Dismantle on Day One

JMHO, Trumps support for the 2A is more theoretical and more of a convenience than a conviction. Still, light years ahead of the alternative. I suspect he feels there are more important issues than nationwide CCW reciprocity or suppressors. Say getting the economy back on track, Illegal invasion, etc.

Good luck with him getting rid of any of them.

Remember he had them ban bump stocks and wanted to ban "assault rifles" by EO after the 2017 Vegas shooting.

With a Republican House and Senate between 2016-18 they couldn't ( or wouldn't) pass the Hearing Protection Act for suppressor freedom

I'm guessing the new White House gun control office is going to disappear. Along with Dettlebach and probably all of Biden's gun related EOs.

Maybe instead of being indignant about the possibility ( or lack of) of future pro gun directives, we should just breath a sigh of relief that for at least 4 years our respective states won't have the feds breathing down their necks trying to shove any new gun control down our throats. If you live in a commie state you may still have to deal with your own local politicians.

Trump knows gun owners are a big reason he was re-elected. He can't run again so I wouldn't expect him to cuddle up to anyone, but as far as gun rights go he has been far from the worst president. You can point to the bump stock ban I guess, but you should remember that other than the "Gun community" no one else in this country takes a "No compromise" position on guns. And as far as compromising to stave off even worse anti-gun BS, bump stocks is the first one I would throw to the wolves. I doubt you're going to see the Trump DOJ going after 80% receivers or pistol braces. Would you guys rather have Biden or Harris ?
