I never knew this.
There was a shop teacher at my high school that made a few small sized 22 LR gatling guns.

This rapid-fire, early machine gun was invented in Indianapolis by Richard Jordan Gatling. Gatling invented the weapon at the outbreak of the U.S. Civil War. The gun’s design was reportedly based on Gatling’s seed planter and a working prototype was constructed in 1861.

The first six guns, built at the Indianapolis-based Gatling Gun Company, were destroyed in a factory fire in 1862.

A staple of many childhoods, Wonder Bread debuted from Taggart Baking Company of Indianapolis on May 21, 1921, and was one of the very first pre-sliced breads sold in the United States.

To this day, the iconic white packaging and colorful balloons invoke countless nostalgic memories of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for generations of Americans.

funny how many inventions of the day, changed things. this is a tribute to the inventors. yes, to this day, and at my age, i still LOVES ME a PBJ/banana sammich.......thing is though, like milk, and all other dairy products, peanuts, and peanut butter are included, as well as chocolate.

but i have my days when i just say, "screw it, imma having me a PJB/banana sammich, i got enough toilet paper for later".....!!!!!!!

In my small town WB wasn't available/sold. Larger towns 1 t 2 hours away did have it. It has been sold the last few years in my small town though.

there are other bread companies in some areas than in other ones.

one if Freihofer's that was never here, now it is.

another in Bimbo (yes Bimbo) that is here now

we have/had, Wonder Bread, Nissen Bread (i think Nissen bought out another brand, i can't recall that name)

too many corporations buying out others and either dissolving them, or changing the recipes and making them suck

Bimbo has shown up locally also, but it and WB is far between on stock. It took me years to drink store bought milk as we had our own milk cows. Now out of convenience it's nice picking up cold milk.

when one buys, and eats Wonder Bread...

you know longer "wonder" anything, as you'll be all the more knowing than the average white bread brand eater.

Wonder Bread is WONDERFUL that way......it's really a wonder to me, why you let the wonders of Wonder Bread slip by you.

Sourdough is my all-time favorite I can eat by the truck loads! Whole-wheat is a runner-up.

you haven't lived until mom serves you a cheeseburger on wonder bread. or in our case, store brand white bread. either way the bread/bun dissolved in an instant and you're left holding a cheeseburger encased in something resembling wall paper paste.

that's all i got, it's tiring me already.

Cool scene in the modern "Magnificent 7" with Denzel Washington & Chris Pratt with that Gatling gun wreaking havoc on its targets...a beast of a weapon for its time.
