One of the models that has been around since almost the beginning, the first Glock 17L, or “Glong” pistols – so named because they have an extended 6-inch barrel and corresponding 8.9-inch slide rather than the standard model’s 4.5/7.3-inch barrel/slide – was introduced as a first-generation gun back in 1988.

other than the poly mags, the takedown release tops the list of what i don't like about glock. as many years i've owned them i have yet to manage a fast way to remove the slide. i would sell all of them, but too much invested in them (extra barrels, recoil springs and other accessories)
I agree TFL. I have 9 Glocks and they are a pain (to me), to pull those release tabs. I once complained to a friend at the LGS and he laughed and proceeded to disassemble a Glock in a few seconds . He admitted he was a Glock fan boy and Glock Armor.

To get my favorite 9mil barrel length in a longslide or competition length is to get a 24 and convert it to 357sig. I don't like the 40 to 9mil or 9mil to 40 directions.
