The Gordon Carbine

I still like the longer 20 " barrel on the M16A2 it was very accurate and it did not reduce the velocity of the 55 grain and 62 grain ammo that was designed to be used in the longer 20" barrel. With the M4 16 " the velocity is greatly reduced. I have a .223/5.56 pistol with a 10.5 barrel and the velocity is reduced but I can hit an Iron target 18x36 at 300 meters but it dont have near the punch a 20" Barrel delivers at 300 meters. And with a short barrel the shot group opens up to 6" to 10". From 2" to 4 ".
