Love .357s and my .44 was my companion for 30 odd years. It was the perfect, to me, hunting and woods weapon. I made sure of that. It started out as a 5.5 inch Redhawk and ended it's days, as a a customized 4.5 inch Magnaported and mechanically enhanced treasure with smooth ivory stocks. The balance , trigger, and accuracy were the best I ever experienced, period in any magnum. She rode in my custom Black Hills leather and took many many game animals as my only centerfire woods companion for the better part of those 30 plus years. Hopefully she is being treasured as much as I did,

Today no .44s but a .357 magnum is still my favorite handgun extant.

Yes.
I ordered a Model 66 6inch in the 70's and somehow it got lost in shipping.
The shop I ordered it from said he would give me this 27 instead.
I was happy!!!
I still have a 686 Plus on my bucket list, then I'm done

I’ve carried a .44 as a woods gun for a long time. Used a 7 1/2 SBH with Magnaporting as a hunting pistol, carried a 4 5/8” SBH when just out and about. Added a 4” model 69 5 banger a few years back. A nice “warm” .44 Specialload in a magnum case packs a nice thump, while full oat .44’s are excellent for deer, Blackbear and similar critters.
