The M1 Carbine: 10 Little Known Facts

I hesitated too long when I spotted an IBM M1 Carbine at a LGS. After thinking about it, I went back the next day and it was gone. I ended up getting a 1943 M1 Carbine, Saginaw (receiver), Quality Hardware, with a Rockola Barrel in very good condition. I also purchased an Auto Ordnance M1 Carbine as I really like their looks. Good article Anni.

I love these as well, I have a National Postal Meter 1943, and an Inland made In 1944 by General Motors. From what I understand is the NPM are the more reliable and accurate due to they actually test fired all of them prior to leaving the factory(factory had a makeshift range under the original ground floor to ensure the soldiers receive a reliable weapon). It was the only company that did that, and continued to adjust the machinery for better product.

I would love to get my hands on any US brand with a Bavarian stamp on it!!!
