It's simply basically a stocked handgun with a folding twist. Stocked handguns have neen around forever as an attempt to make the handgun steadier. I have seen pictures of stocked muzzloading pistols, old revolvers and probably the two most famous the Mauser Broomhandle and Artillery Luger.

Most of the stocks did come off so this is unique in that. I guess in its own way I might think of it as a kind of a stowable emergency kit 9mm PDW. Not something I am going to run out and buy no matter how much my inner 5 yo crys and kicks it's feet.
