The Makarov And Other 9x18mm Pistols

I’ve got a nice East German Makarov.

They are actually incredibly nice shooting, and surprisingly accurate pistols.

Used to have a Polish Radom P64...great single action trigger, but atrocious double action. I had no qualms pocket carrying it hammer down, safety off...I’d ballpark it north of 15 pounds.

I carried an EG Makarov as my EDC for 15 years. Stopped for a few others with better sights for my old eyes, and the desire to go back to the 1911 before arthritis took over completely.

For whatever reason that pistol shot better out of my hand than any other, still does. It is still carried as my GHB handgun along with a few spare parts, Simply because of its simplicity of keeping running. When it absolutely has to keep going bang no matter what you go thru, make it a Makarov. It's the AK of pistols.
