This is fun to watch; however they leave out the fact that there are virtually no new full auto transferable MP5s available due to the change in the law back in 1986. Of course they are available to the government, law enforcement agencys, and maybe as dealer samples, but only the ones made before 1986 are transferable to individuals. Nothing else really compares.

I'm real tempted to buy a clone, but I am hoping something comes up in a few months that will allow me to buy several of the higher end pieces I crave. If that falls through, I don't know. I'd still like to have the real deal or as close to it a guy with no Class 3 can get.

I know a guy at work, one of my bosses actually, who has a couple full auto HKs, including some transferrable MP5s. I am trying to get him to adopt me.

Reason i “pulled the trigger”.

I bought an AP5-P recently and it’s made me forget all my other guns. Bad ass looking gun and ridiculously accurate. Can hit a bullseye dead center at 25 yds.

Point me toward any HK clone for $700 por favor...cheapest one I've seen in last year is a hair under $1000 ($980 FOR 4.5" barrel with no brace). About $1400 if you add a brace. Plus tax. Plus shipping, transfer fee, mags...Unless killer is referring to TURKISH clones???? Never!

Sooo… 1983 $700 equates with time/inflation to $1700… thus I said clones

… and HK MP5 is a movie fame gun. Pay what the market bears. Their too expensive, but they sell well, so is what it is.

I actually got pretty close to a CZ Scorpion recently. Not an HK clone at all, but same philosophy of use. I'm still thinking about it...I'm sure sure I'll decide "YES" after braces are illegal.

Cz scorpions are fun and great guns. Rented one and had a blast.
Then, Had one NIB from the LGS for $700 in March 2021 when covid hit. Decided not to buy. Regretted it ever since.

Here's my set-up.

@BET7 also has a couple Scorpions in different configurations.

Upgrades include the HB industries trigger kit, Magpul duckbill mag release, HB industries safety delete kit for the right side, SB brace, Burris RT-1, and Rugged Obsidian 9 suppressor.

I've been contemplating SBR'ing this but I'm waiting to see the brace ruling and if they will wave the tax stamp first.
