The MP5: Full Auto vs Binary Trigger vs Semi-Auto

Folks **** and moan about taxes.
Everything in the USA is taxed. Everything except food stamps, eggs and milk.

Cars, tvs, phones, glasses, pencils, tampons and rubbers… but no one ever bitches.

I dont ever get the tax argument .. that ship sailed hundreds of years ago
That NFA item you are registering with the government was already taxed when you bought it though. An extra tax on top of that is pure BS. That shipped sailed too though. Sin tax. They do it to cigarettes ( Strangely not cigars though, Hmm) and liquor.

And it's established Supreme Court precedent that rights aren't taxable, poll taxes were struck down and the constitution even modified to prevent them explicitly.

Unless you want to argue the fact the NFA is born of Prohibition, you need to go to an alcohol or tax grievance forum if you want to be argumentative with everyone about consumption taxes in their everyday life.

The tax stamp that prohibits ownership of an otherwise legal firearm is constitutionally dubious. The gun is not otherwise illegal to be in possession of except for certain characteristics dating back to Prohibition used to try and tack on charges to illusive bootlegger fueled criminals.

Tax schemes were the method of choice against organized crime created by Prohibition because the government was desperate to reign in a problem of their own creation.

Nor is it unlawful to own an untaxed non NFA firearm, there isn't an equitable use of taxation in regard to legal firearm ownership and possession, it's arbitrary, dated, politically motivated and not constitutional.
