The New Government Diet Plan

Recusant

First it was ammo. Then the shortage expanded to popular firearms. Now it appears to be that food has become short in supply. These pics were taken last night in a local grocery store. Bare shelves are tending all over no mater where you go. Looks like I will be tightening my belt another notch while my bank account gets thinner as well. Sorry state of affairs. Can't wait for November!

On Tuesday you will be allowed one ration of Green while supplies last.
Red and Yellow days will be announced two days before availability.

Could it be grocery stores have planned empty shelves? Have a large warehouse stocked full, claim empty shelves are a result of the war/staff shortages or covid fallout? Then "all of a sudden" have stores completely stocked claiming get it quick before it runs out, trigger panic buying hey presto a months profit in 2 days 🙄.
But of course they wouldn't would they lol 🙈

This has been happening since the "unnamed virus of unknown origin" came around. There are times you go to the store and it seems OK. Other times there are empty shelves where there is usually plenty, and it becomes clear that the whole supply system is strained and tottering on the brink of collapse.

We all remember the toilet paper shortage. There was also no flour in our stores for a month. Often, there was little or no chicken. No broccoli. Not long ago, I went into the store and found the entire aisle of cheese was empty. About 20 feet of shelving, usually loaded with all kinds of cheese and other things just bare. Were we going to starve? No. There were alternatives, but you couldn't count on getting the normal things you always get. It's still happening.

I feel like we're just one little disaster away from a Mad Max scenario, and our illustrious leader works tirelessly to make it all worse every day.

Just got back from Walmart and the whole store was well stocked, prices are ridiculous but it is what it is.

Walked past the baby formula isle, now that was nearly bare, but don’t worry it only took 2.5 months for J.B. The plastic house plant to get involved to help babies that didn’t have enough food.

Those of us who have retained the hunter gatherer knowledge of our ancestors. Will weather the storm.Humans have mostly lost the ability to be one with the earth.Depending on others to provide everyday necessities of life (which we have) puts us at their mercy.

My local stores are well stocked, my opinion this is all political, everything anymore goes this way, when this administration said months back there will be a food shortage, now to make it sound like this administration knew what they were saying, bang, now some stores are falling into this rhetoric, and having so called shortages. Just my thoughts

Hey watch what you say about plastic plants! They have more feelings and are a lot sharper than Brandon's whole clown show put together. Half of his girls are there to keep him from drowning in his cereal bowl.

Our country's business model for retail DOES make us all susceptible to glitches. JIT inventories with food can be scary when a crisis hits. I am more worried about the rumblings about the lack of diesel fuel. Without that, we run out of everything we buy. Living with an uncurable affliction requiring daily doses of pharmacy products (type 1 diabetic), I've been a bit worried since all this BS started. Also does not help that 96% of the world's insulin supply is made in China. On a positive note, I don't have to worry about storing more than 3 months worth of food for myself. Never having more than 3 months worth of insulin (max allowed to buy on insurance, plus it has a shelf life), and if that runs out, I won't need anything else...that's for sure. No need wasting (lots of) money on MRE's for me!
