The Ithaca Model 37 Trench Gun

I've never owned an Ithaca shotgun myself. Some friends had a couple for bird hunting back in the day. Only time I was ever issued a shotgun in the Army it was an 870. Several years ago I had a gunsmith friend of mine in Colorado fix up an 870 for me. I didn't care for the way Remington did their chokes so I had him thread it for Win-Chokes and port the barrel and then put a breacher choke on it just for looks mainly. Years later those little Shockwaves came out and I remember thinking that when I was a youngster I was told "Them there Texas Door Openers was eelegal boy, don't git cawt with one." Well anyway mine isn't a trench gun, more likely just a ditch gun.
