Ruger made a model of the PC carbine back in 1996 that was geared towards law enforcement sales though it never caught on considering the price of the rifle against similar competitor options.

The current Ruger PC carbine takedown rifle has been a home run for the company and I've been a fan of this model since it first came out in 2017.

I've seen good reviews on the classic Marlin camp rifle and it's probably only a matter of time before it's brought back to the market with modern options.

When I worked at LGS when one came in they sold really fast. Someone did tell me that you had to be real careful when cleaning them especially around the trigger group. Something about it be plastic? They still bring big money used.

does anyone have any input on reliability or accuracy of these carbines? could they be used as a reasonable home defense gun? or are they mainly for plinking?
