Damn, he lived a long time to still be around to play on "Dukes of Hazard" in the late 70's-early 80's. Wonder if he ever got to drive the 'General Lee'? Probably not ..... if'n the boys wouldn't let 'Daisy' drive it, they sure as heck wouldn't have let 'Boss'. 'Course that's just a WAG on my part.

That would've made him about 50 in the early 80's. He sure didn't look that old on the TV show !!! And he sure looked an awful lot like Jackie Gleason in the movie version too.

Well I'll be danged! I didn't read the article before I started cracking wise about him. It really was him, huh? I didn't recognize the name and just assumed the story was about some guy in the big war. Damn, that's what 'assuming' will do for/to us huh?
