I had one of these! It was a nice replica of the 1911A1 (except for the paint job) including the rounded main spring housing. Buyer beware, it will hammer bite the crap out of you.

I have the same issue with any of the GI replica or tribute editions. I love the look of the original 1911's, but I have to have an extended beavertail in order to keep from demolishing my hand.

I had one of these back then, mine was just parkerized, shot good, but yea, gotta watch the hammer bite, mine also had the plastic grip panels.
