thats a great piece of history i am sure i learned but somehow forgot
germans were sure sneaky bastaggees

i will add near stark florida on camp blanding , which is now a army reserve base..and cool lake and campground
they housed german POWs during ww2
at end of war, many of those sought out to remain in the states vice go home to ruins and all that
i forget the numbers but they have a museum on base that outlines it
cool, as i again...had forgot we had pow camps on us soil during ww2

Here in N texas were a few POW camps. Texas as a whole had more camps than any other state.
We have a few small museums for them here as well.

i had no idea texas had so many
it seems odd we would ship all them folks across ocean to here, vice keep them in some other place.
but still its a very interesting item
