SOME entertainers have an extremely over inflated sense of self importance. They should stick to what they know. TBH I’ve never heard of some of them…I listen to older country when I listen to country. No loss here

I’m gonna go out on a limb & say this is the most social media exposure they’ve ever had as well as ‘airtime’. Showed my 18 yr old daughter that list of names; she didnt know a single one.
Im thinking they did everyone’s ears a favor by bailing.

for an 18 year old not to know is a surprise.....i would have been certain they would have known at least 50% of them.

"garage bands" i think is what we sometimes call them here.
they don't get paid much, playing in such places, and can only hope for someone to "notice/discover them" for a hotter market.

When Hamas attacked Israel killing 1700 and taking 250+ innocent people hostage they paraded those hostages through the streets of Gaza and were met with parades of cheering crowds of the Palestinian people who supported what they did. Let me be clear… I am horrified at the suffering of those in Gaza who are stuck in the middle of this conflict and my prayers go out to the children however Israel didn’t start this and a large majority of the people Gaza supported it….Well, I’m with the Gov on this one.
Going to boycott any of these bands for being upset that the US Army is a sponsor … entertainers really lose touch on who buys into their entertainment.

“Dozens of artists and bands have left the popular South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, in protest of the U.S. Army's sponsorship, claiming that it has supplied weapons "supporting their violent oppression of the Palestinian people."
The protest began in February when the organization Austin For Palestine Coalition called for a protest and boycott of SXSW based on its ties to the U.S. Military and weapons manufacturing companies that have, the group claimed, supplied weapons to the Israeli military.
"SXSW must disinvite Raytheon (RTX), its subsidiary Collins Aerospace, and BAE Systems to the conference and festivals in the city of Austin," an Instagram post from the activist group read. "Raytheon, Collins Aerospace, and BAE Systems have direct ties to the arming of Israel, supporting their violent oppression of the Palestinian people. Raytheon manufactures missiles, bombs, and other weapon systems for the Israeli military to use against Palestinians."
Since then, several bands and performers pulled their scheduled appearances in an effort to support Palestinians.
How quickly the world forgets how this started and now Israel being blamed for the suffering of those that supported who did start it.
The need for humanitarian aid is paramount for those suffering aside from that Israel is doing what it needs to do to protect its people.

As far as this music festival is concerned I’m not big on being around crowds of people anyway.

If folks support Palestine on this, which a ton do, go move back to Palestine.
We got attacked by surprise at Pearl Harbor and Twin Towers. Did what we had to do.

And I worked for BAE, they are a military contractor that builds military armament for multiple countries around the world, like any other manufacturing company they bid for a contract, win the contract, build the product and get paid.
