The calculations are correct, but something is off for sure! If the 300gr was traveling at 1,480 then it can have more energy than the 260gr. Even if it was a typo and it should be at 1,060 (which should be way low) would be more plausible.

Many of these numbers are doubtful! I'm not sure what the article is trying to sell! From a 7.5" barrel length seams crazy, but BB does sell and claim this velocity. I bet'cha it's gunna kick!

Just thinking about shooting those hand cannons hurt, I’m sure they are fun but no thanks.

Yes I get it will have more smack down. I don't see it gaining speed over the other.

For myself, I stopped at .44 and .45. A man has to know his limitations (pain level).

I have shot various big bore cannons over the years, 454, 45winmag, 50AE, 375JDJ, 45-70 in a contender, 460S&W, 500S&W, various Limbaugh calibers, all fun, but in time, they take there toll on you.
