he wants to cut the police budget, oh great, like there aren't enough problems now.

These cuts included a $97 million cut to trial courts, $10 million to the Division of Law Enforcement, and an $80 million cut to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Any conservatives will inhabit the Central Valley outside of Sacramento of course and the desert communities. San Diego used to be pink, but not any more. They too have joined the ranks of the blues. The coastal cities by sheer numbers control the votes and the weirdos in Sacramento, and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I frankly don't see how people live there without a heck of a lot of money. The house we used to rent in East San Diego County in the early 90s will now cost a little over $1 mil to buy. Ridiculous.

most if not all areas of CA cost double the living expense of TX. back in the'80s when I was there many laughed when I said my annual income was about 30k and then asked me how i was able too live off of that? easy when everything here cost less! fuel cost wasn't much different by maybe 2-4 cents per gallon higher. a yound city leo stopped me back then and was jumpy as all getout. I had a keyring with 15 keys on it as he thought i had a knife. i talked with him a bit and told him i understand why he was cautionous. pretty sure i'd be also!
 
Thanks to Vervus Jones daughter, the current mayor of STL, "Queen Tish", the STL PD is down 475 officers. At any given time there are 18 officers on duty in the entire city, all 6 districts. They say crime is down. Know why? Because cops aren't responding to them because they can't. So there are no police reports.
