Sitting in the snow globe, what we call our screened back room, looking at the first snow of the season.

Thinking of warmer days.

It's actually rather nice out there on the coldest days once we get the heaters going

Let’s see. 77°. Nope. No snow in sight.
Isn't that the truth, forecasting 57 on Saturday.Sometimes it can be hard telling what time of year it is by the conditions experienced so far?
This year Mother Nature's been fiddling with the thermostat quite a bit.

Nice... I built the screened room because my wife is very allergic to mosquito bites. This allows her to sit out at night in summer and watch the fireflies.I like screened porches.
I don;t mind the winter conditions, since it comes with the territory. After a few preview of coming attractions down low in Nov. we got out first serious snow this week. I put my "snows" on on Monday which was out last dry day. Hope to get a good snow pack up high for the next few months.
Hopefully, about 3 months of this down low ....

And more into late spring up high since it's needed to knock down our drought conditions, and recharge the Mtns for next years water needs.
At least the latest weather predictions are for below av temps & above av. moisture in my AOPs.
The problem are the idiots (especially newcomers) that still think they can drive like it's July when the roads are too greasy for that. And like a NASCAR race one just waits for the inevitable crashs.

I worked in a body shop while going to college. Biggest days of the year were the first snowfall, or a snowfall after a period without one.
I like screened porches.

Removable, including two doors I switch out, one screen one glass. I think it took me about 30 minutes to get ready for winter this year. Cordless drill is the greatest tool ever lol.
King of the road...Thanks, Gorgeous pic!
On the snowfall, we all need the water. I tend to think of Earth as a humongous cyclic aquarium with various filtration systems. Some may complain or not see the big picture about snow, swamps, sand or mud, but it's all needed for the planet to continue thriving.
Yah on some drivers thinking they can continue driving the same all year long with various seasons and conditions. - Can get spooky sometimes. In some ways wish we all went back to horses, buggies and carts. There's advantages and disadvantages of driving or traveling in most conditions and some fun stuff mixed in there too with the possible dangers.
Is a good time and place for most of it with different limitations and advantages and sometimes not so much in crowded conditions. Can't rollerskate in a buffalo herd?
Me too, especially autumn, those colors fill my soulAs much as I complain, I still like all four seasons.
