Good to see the Illinois gun ban has made the streets of Chicago much safer like anticipated. When I see these articles about kids first thing I wonder is where the hell are the parents and why are they letting their kids roam the streets at all hours of the night, that's where the problem starts with.

It's all giggles for these minor miscreants, and this behavior is occurring everywhere. The court system, in the majority, ends up being the punchline. I may be both aberrant and callous, but I believe some of the parents should have their feet a tad closer to the fire. No offense intended. . .

Near to us, a fourteen year old car thief/driver and two thirteen year old passengers "T-boned" and killed a young, married father of two on his drive home from work while fleeing police in a hot Kia. Maddening. . .

yup when we were in ABQ...same story young gangs 12 to 16 yr old committing most of crimes.
punks and no concern about who or what they damaged...until they got to the county lockup. then the ones that had not ganged up...got a rude awakening from adults
i was there not because i was guilty of a crime, i was there for 4 days because a cop could not read the difference in a number 7 and 11 on a court document protection order my estranged daughter in law swore out on me ...because we lived 1700 miles away in texas and somehow were a threat. it got dropped, but abq cops said otherwise..

Maybe all should be in military school like some options back during wars for the offenders! Sign up or go to jail! Work camps!
Obe of my co-workers (a division of law enforcement) got in trouble as a kid/young adult in small town, early 90s. He had been planning on going into the army. Judge said you go to army and you're good, if not, you're going to jail.
We were just talking yesterday, said military was the best decision he ever made
