This Is Infuriating

I'm telling you the world is full of stupids now! Go to a store or mall and sit and watch the parade of stupidity that will walk by you. They have no clue! This is why this country is doomed.
Every generation has said that.
Prohibition
Elvis
Hippies in the 70’s
80’s techno

It’s our job as elders to point the young ones down the right moral path.
Some cant be helped.
Thats why prisons still exist

i say do it to the guy.

he could not have been that stupid, he had a reason, and did this with purpose.
The law of Hanlon's Razor is at work here.

I am going to take a wild guess here that the owner of the vehicle was under the influence of something when he parked the car. Either that or he is just profoundly stupid. Intelligence has limits but stupidity knows no bounds. I have witnessed it in person many times over.

Even if I were off duty and saw any animals or children locked in a vehicle when it's hot, I'd smash the windows out without any hesitation. Sue me later not like I haven't been sued in 31 yrs of being a Policeman now but fortunately both of them were dismissed and the State proved the criminals were lying in both matters and i was exonerated in both cases. I'm a dogo lover and even though gas is through the roof if I have mine with me even if I stop to just get a coffee to go the air is on windows cracked and e-brake engaged. Like that one comedian who's name escapes me now once said "You can't fix stupid".

80s was new wave. Techno came later. More importantly nothing went wrong after the 80s? They say short term memory is the first to go. What a shame. 😜😜😜

Old lady where I live left a 6 month old and a 4 year old in her car on father's day. It was 95 outside. 20 minutes after police smashed the window, it was still 117 INSIDE. Both kids lived but the baby was diagnosed with high blood pressure, heat exhaustion and a couple other issues.

I’m with you. I get irritated when I see someone walking their dog down the street in 100° heat. Locked in a car should get you an instant beating! What part of dogs don’t do well above 80° don’t people get?

Well, the dogs do have to go out and relieve themselves, regardless of the temperature. Which is more cruel, keeping them inside all day crossing their legs, or taking them outside in the heat to relieve themselves then taking them back inside? And wild dogs, wolves, coyotes, hyenas etc survive in 100+ degree heat. Have for generations. As long as the people take their dogs back inside, I don't see a problem with this. Some breeds may be more sensitive to heat than others, and should be treated accordingly.

Locked closed up cars in 100 degree heat reach 135 degrees in less the 30 minutes. Leaving children and pets in cars in this situation is cruel and reprehensible. Wild animals have been dealing with this for centuries and have access to water, there is no comparison.

The two dogs prompting this thread were left in the car for 10 hours with no access to water!!!

Dallas Texas.
The 5 year old boy left in a closed locked car by his parents in the home driveway was left in the car for close to an hour. He died.
Again reprehensible.

Young toddlers never should be left alone in any vehicle, for any length of time even if doors and windows are open. That’s just lazy, reckless, stupid or all three and applies to any neighborhood or location.

For a quick run inside, most if not all establishments allow dogs inside anywhere these days. Probably not for an hour or two like at the gym or for casual extended shopping excursions.

There are new vehicles today that have audible alerts to “Check Rear Seat”. This will be a mandated standard for all 2025 vehicle models. Was this is in response to so many in this dependent younger generation are distracted - by their social media device than anything else?

Why is it people need to be told or reminded, mandated what to do… ‘Check the back seat’. To them, is this to remind them make sure if their cellphone is attached to one of their mitts? Oh, and soooooo many toddlers are seen these days with cellphones and Pads as a source of entertainment while in the back seats of their SUV’s. Yapping, texting, tic-tocking parents uninterested in the kids in back, so wrapped up in the moment expounding to their fans and followers. Seems to me if not distracted, people are just so lacking commonsense, uninformed and attuned only to what’s on social media or the daytime unhinged squawk gossip shows.

Yeah, I get that, but you don’t have to walk them on a paved street when the ambient temp is in triple digits. Hyenas, etc don’t get walked in a parking lot, which is what I saw somebody doing while I was sitting in my car the other day. I’m in North Texas where the heat is off the charts and the hot part of the year is still a month away!
