I do variations of all of those. We kind of mesh the double tap with the transitioning targets though. We'll put 4 or 5 targets out at different distances and put a 3x5 index card or draw a roughly 4" circle on a blank piece of paper. Then put two in each card before moving to the next target. We usually transition between carbine and sidearm and incorporate a couple reloads in as well. So for example we might start right to left, two in each of 3 targets between 10 and 25 yards with a pistol, with a reload after number 2. Then start again from left to right with the carbine, 2 in number one, 2 in number two, reload, 2 in number 3 and duck around the berm for one at the 100 yard steel and one at the 200 yard steel.
Timed. Add a second for every miss.
