I first fell in love with 1911s at the age of 12 after watching a military match and the rapid fire event. Growing up I always heard the recoil would knock you to the ground. I have never found that to be true and love shooting 1911s and purchased my first one at 21. Have never experienced any of the problems talked about in the comment section
