Thunderbirds or Blue Angels ?

I have seen both military Demonstration Teams over the years and they both put on great shows. I always loved aviation especially military. So what do you folks think ? USAF Thunderbirds or USN Blue Angels ? And why ?
Blue Angels

Thunderbirds are graceful and elegant.
Blue Angels are shock and awe …
Navy jocks for you… come in fast and hot and slam it on a deck..

I must agree. Even though I am from a USAF family, the Blue Angels impressed the heck out of me when they were flying low and hot on approach in Fargo. The plant I work at is right by the airport so we got a free show at quitting time that day.

My first Thunderbirds exposure was Loring AFB, Presque Isle, ME early 1980’s when they had T38’s ….long ass time ago..
I go see them and the BA about every 3 yrs. Too much traffic and people locally to see them yearly… 1 hr to get in.. 1 hr to get out in N Tx

Actually they pretty much do the same show. The Blues however don’t wear g-suits, so they get the edge. I’ve had the good fortune to go on the road twice with the Thunderbirds to direct and film Thunderama, the film they show to visitors at their HQ at Nellis so they are very near and dear to my heart.

When my boys with little we would go down to Va Beach to see the air show at Navel Air Station Oceana. It's usually a 2-day show. One year the Blue Angels did their show on the ocean front. We got to watch from our room on the 6th floor of the hotel we were staying in. I think now they do the show over Oceana. They will perform again at the air show in September. They never fail to please.

doesn't matter to me, they are all the military's best of the best.

i even enjoy teams from other countries.

we used to that the Air National Guard show, but they didn't sponsor it, they only "allowed" it to take place at state airport south of the general publics airport.

but the last NEW sponsor, wanted to charge for parking, AND admission, so many people told them to "go fly a kite".......

so no more air shows here.

(used to be a $10 donation to the childrens hospital, and FREE admission ) so the place was packed back then....

Seen one of them years ago, don't remember who it was., we got skeeters that can do that stuff too. Ya ever see a wad of skeeter flying in formation just before the break it to nail yer butt from all sides?

All kidding aside i don't live far from an air force base and hear them shows all the time. i hear them practicing landings, machine gun runs and they actually bomb. they make wide enough sweeps i see the planes. have seen both blue angels and thunderbirds fly over my house.
