ehh! what the heck. wanted to try the obsidians out. they are awesome. didn't need hearing protection in either caliber. they all stayed in one place unlike that Junk CGS suppressor i bought. now i did cheat like a big dog and used a rest cause i wanted to make sure they were hitting in the same place and it wasn't me. I shot another two targets with the FN 45, guess i didn't take a pic.

Now this Steyr just kept begging me to go but i said Dude, you don't have a threaded barrel. he said yeah and you don't have six pack abs. so i thought about it and come to the conclusion, he's right so....

A good alternative the the Oculus is the Dead Air Mask HD. The Mask HD is considered one of the quietest .22lr suppressors you can buy and it doesn't change the POI like some suppressors do. The Oculus does have the option for the K configuration so you could run it shorter if you wanted to.

Glad to see a positive report on the Obsidians. I just e-filed my Form 4 on an Obsidian 45. I bought it for my .357 Henry X and my AP5s, and of course my FN 545.

You'll like it, i was shooting remington sub sonic that @KillerFord1977 said he shot and i didn't need any hearing protection.
