Top 5 Best .380 Pistols For Concealed Carry in 2021 – The Real Manstoppers

Very good interesting article that covers not just the guns, but ammo and other characteristics of .380 pistols. The guns chosen are good ones, among the many others usually available, but the other more generalized info pertains to many other .380's and is very good reference. As usual and typical, the ammo capacity is very limited on .380ACP pistols.

It's a shame they published this a few weeks before Ruger announced the new LCP Max. .380 ACP is one of my favorite calibers. I shot it quite regularly before the 2020 ammo shortage made it difficult and expensive. These articles seem to always focus on the same 5 guns, but there are many more quality .380's on the market. The Rock Island Baby Rock, Browning .380 1911's, the single-stack Bersa Thunder and double-stack Thunder Plus, and the Tisas Fatih 13 (Turkish Beretta 84 clone) are some of my favorites that never seem to make these lists.

The only .380's I carry are pocket guns that I carry when my wardrobe won't allow for a larger handgun. Most gun writers seem to have the same carry philosophy, which causes them to overlook recoil-sensitive shooters who prefer to carry larger-framed .380's. The .380 Shield EZ, Walther CCP M2, and Walther PPK are all great guns, and I expect the newly announced Sig Sauer P365 in .380 will also be an excellent choice. I love my tiny .380's, but I would like to see gun writers show a little more love to options that are larger than the Glock 42.

Have noticed that sometimes too. To me for example and for what it is, Rock Island's and Browning's are good brands.

I prefer carrying one of my 9mms, but in the summer I carry my Kahr CW380 a lot. It's tiny and goes in short pockets easily. I carry it loaded with Honady Critical Defense ammo. Been carrying this combo for years,
