Tornado destruction in Mississippi last night

Heard 24 dead so far and people still missing. i don't think one of them room shelters would save you in a tornado like this. only safe place is underground. Bless all the people there.

Very sad. Prayers for those who lost loved ones.

I used to work with a guy who’s masters thesis was on building houses that would perform better in tornadoes. He said one interior room could be reinforced and provide very good protection. The cost was pretty minimal. Underground is better though for sure!

Heard it was on the ground for 40 miles.

Kentucky had some bad ones last year, had “one” an F4 on the ground for 225 miles.

saw a women that was suprisingly not too frazzled. I paraprhase...she told her husband to help her get the stuff out the closet so they could get in....they both lived...she was amazing at how calm she was considering the shitstorm she rode out

we put an inground shelter in last year, used it once so far......that one use paid for itself .
