Tornado outbreak

Belt Fed

Ronin
Been a heckuva day, we were very lucky. i watched and heard three naders get close and real close today. First one i heard to the west of us and it was loud, then soon after another one went to the east of us. and then i watched one form right in front of me probably 100 yards and like in a second it developed into a funnel cloud and the trees across the street were blowing one way and the ones in my yard the other way.

It hit a produce place that grows vegetables and fruit to sell. it wiped out their fields. the one that went east of me was about 500 yards away, musta been a small one. it did hit a power plant and did some damage and mostly trees around. it may have done more but i didn’t follow the path very far.

The one to west of me was a big one, it was about 1/8 mile from me, i heard it coming and it wiped out a small community and i mean wiped it out. i didn’t go through the whole place, they wouldn’t let you go down if you didn’t live there. It is a mess up there. we had no power for several hours and i really don’t see how we have any now.

But it wasn’t just us, a monster one wiped out west little rock. it was huge. several places in Arkansas got hit. They don’t know all the damage yet and injuries. only heard of one killed so far and if that sticks i would be shocked. i figured more than that got killed up the road and they may have.

After seeing that damage i called the son to come get my ginny out and hook up the fridge and freezer, after seeing all the power lines and poles snapped and lines all over i just knew we wasn’t going to get power for a while. guess our power comes from a different way cause there will be no power there for a while.

This is about the worse i been through far as having so many so close. they have come close here before but not three in a row. been a very stressful day. We were very lucky a whole lot of people here wasn’t.

We’re getting shellacked with yet another blizzard tonight. 40+mph winds and 2-4@ of wet snow should make the roads fun after the half inch of ice/rain we got today…

Got to wait about 10-15 minutes while a semi got pulled out of the ditch on my way to work tonight…

You drive carefully out there Hans stay safe slow getting there is better than not getting there at all

Oh, yeah. I’ve been watching it coming for the past couple of days…
IMO, they are the best source of info in understanding where the weather is coming from, why and where its going.

While their temp/precip predictions are off a bit compared to the local weather reports, one can really understand what's going to happen.

BTW there's another L-pressure system in the Gulf of Alaska that's going to do the same things next week that's happening now in the mid-west based on what/where the jet stream is going in a few days.

We dodged 3, we were really lucky. 3 miles up the road got 3" hail. We watched a funnel cloud form headed right for us. Probably 500 yards away it changed direction, went northeast. I don't think it ever touched down. The last one came up from the south, and canceled the 2nd one out. Prayers for the ones who suffered loss. 🙏

I had to go to the post office this morning and they have my road closed. took a detour around and found more damage. only got three pics. couldn't stop to take more. there was a lot more damge than what i have in these pics. seems this whole area was hit pretty good. that one pic was a small car lot. he had maybe 15 to 20 cars. don't know where they are. the ones you see are at the building next door.
