Tru Glo Pistol Sight Recommendation

My EDC for the last month or so is a S&W Shield Plus Performance Center 9mm...For me, it is the best EDC I have had, and I have had quite a few over the years....the only downside to me was the fiber optic Green and Red 3 Dot sights. In bright light they were very bright, but in low light situations and even in ambient light during the day they were not worth a button...hardly any brightness and the front sight was not even visible....

I did some research and settled on a set of Tru Glo TFO (Tritium Fiber Optic) 3 dot sights....got them Friday and got them installed....I cannot begin to express the difference these make....They glow bright green in both daylight and nighttime conditions. Visibility is amazing and acquiring a sight picture is so much easier. Took them to the range to try them out today...now this is an indoor range and the lights are dimmed at the shooting station. When I tried the factory fiber optics, I had to move forward and backward to get them to show up enough to get a decent sight picture. The Tru Glos did not disappoint, no matter the lighting position, they lit up bright and made sight picture easy....I could not be happier with my choice...

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you are looking for a great set of sights, easily visible in both daytime and nighttime conditions, the Tru Glo TFO's are certainly worth considering...best sights I've ever had on a handgun....I am not affiliated with Tru Glo in any way, just want to give fellow handgunners a heads up for a viable sight option....

I have Tru Glo TFX Pros on almost everything.

Be careful, the down side to the TG tfo is they can be melted and dulled by oils and spray cleaners to remove carbon and oils like, Lucas extreme duty gun cleaner, Remington Rem action cleaner or Remington shotgun cleaner spray. The TFX-Pros are hermetically sealed in a Sapphire capsule so no oils and cleaners affect the fiber optic.
Both are great sights yet the TFX-pros are worth every penny of the cost difference between the two.
 
I have had Ameriglo, Trijicon, and Truglo. For my eyes, usage, and preference, it's Truglo. I've found I prefer tritium only, minus the fiber-optic rods. The sights are adequately visible in daylight, are the brightest tritium I've used, and the sight picture is slightly longer, for what it's worth.
 
Thought I would do a brief follow up on the new sights...went to the range today and practiced double taps at 7 yards and 10 yards out of my EDC Shield Plus PC....These sights did make some difference I believe...sight picture was crystal clear in bright and low light....Very happy with my decision.....If you're in the market, they are definitely worth a look...Thanks
