Family member was a long haul and a close friend was too. Unless it's changed the long haul pulls in to the terminal or loading dock and the company grabs the load..... off goes the trucker.
On the other hand, short haul/local truckers are the ones I believe to be at the tip of the spear. The guy that hauls the
Bud and unloads/stocks it at a whole host of stores/bars/restaurants. The bread truck, the veggie, the pizza, the milk,
and the $20 ice cream for our favorite Liberal.
I believe these are the one's most likely to suffer from the Wuhan Chinese Virus. Not belittling any of the truckers.
Goodness knows we need them all. Take a good look around where you are sitting now reading this. Can you name
one thing that didn't come on a truck? Excluding email of course! But even then what you're reading it with sure did
get a truck ride.
Six months from now Americans will be pretty much over the trucker Hero Worship and back to cussing them out.
