Yeah, sort of. The election process in Canada is pretty different than the US. They don't really vote for a specific Prime Minister, like we vote for a President - they vote for an electoral representative of a party in their 'riding' (electoral district) who then takes a seat in the House of Commons, and then the head of that dominant party becomes the PM. And the eastern provinces in particular, where much of the population is concentrated, tend to vote heavily for the Liberal Party. On the whole, the Liberals are deeply unpopular in much of the western provinces.

But I also think, particularly given the way he dealt with the Ottowa protests and Covid lockdowns, that his support now is less than ever.
 
There is zero way to enforce that. Feel good law for the anti gun crowd so politicians said they did something.

Owning a handgun in Canada PRIOR to Fidel Castro, Jr was difficult at best.

Yes, look at a picture of Fidel next to a pic of Justin, then look at Justin's dad next to Justin and you'll see what I mean. Combine that with Justin's parents' relationship with the Castros in the 1970's and it makes sense.:p

Is Canada different than the U.S.?
That the most dangerous communities have the strictest gun control laws... ...and the safest communities have the least restrictions and the most guns.... ....if you want to find the biggest casual factor of dangerous communities, its huge, single party rule by Democrats... ...and yes, that is fair when you see the disastrously dysfunctional city government and policy and patronizing of the worst attitudes and demands, demagoguing victimhood mentality for votes, etc...

…and they're all in for a North America Open Border society.

Getting what they overwhelmingly voted for…TWICE, even after the Lockdowns, the arrest and detention of peaceful protestors and confistaction of and trucks.
I think the next election is 2+ years away for Canada.

This mentality will come soon for us here. Doesn’t take much ice cream to influence Mr. Potatohead to sign another blanket executive order.
