Two interesting articles from the NRA-ILA

The first is the State of California requiring school text books to print California's reworded meaning of the Second Amendment. It's quite alarming that they are allowed to get away with this form of treason (in my opinion), rewriting the Bill of Rights, which as a State, they ratified to join the Union.

The second article is a bill introduced by Talyn's own State of Montana's Senator, concerning Gun owners traveling rights be protected throughout the country specifically in States like NY and NJ. I never knew that these states can confiscate your firearms and arrest you right there in the airport if traveling legally with a firearm. I'm shocked on how far our rights are being infringed upon from these rouge States.

Both articles are short and interesting and important reads.

Both were good articles, couldn’t believe the one in California about the school books and 2nd amendment, that state is trying, in my opinion, to rewrite the constitution to there benefit, out there, they are always trying to do stupid things. What I can’t believe are the citizens of that state letting them do this, more people need to go out and vote and put an end to this madness.

Agreed 100% Annihilator. Plus, I knew you couldn't carry a firearm in the city (people have been stopped at ground zero and the Empire State building thinking they could carry since they had their State's carry permit). Their firearm was taken and they were arrested (usually released uncharged after awhile, but without getting their firearm back). Traveling through an airport with a firearm stored correctly is legal. For these States to go to TSA and find out who is traveling with a firearm and then arrest them is ludicrous and unlawful pertaining to federal law already on the books.

The biggest problem with these attacks on the 2A & other Constitutional right is the Supreme Court unwillingness to step up and let these states know they are violating US citizens basic rights and that it will not be allowed. Federal funding should be cut to any State in non-compliance of our basic rights!

Absolutely right 10mmLife. I'm hoping the 2A case they have accepted to hear about the NYC "can only take your firearm to 1 of 7 NYC ranges and not out of the city" (like to your vacation home out of state), "law" will expand 2A rights much further much like Heller Vs. DC did. NYC dropped this "law" thinking the same might happen. The problem though, seems to be that some States ignore the Court's decisions and nothing is done to punish and prevent them from doing so..

There was talk of withdrawing federal funding to immigration sanctuary citys a couple years ago that was never really pushed.

Things just keep getting crazier and crazier. The courts are supposed to rule on the constitutionality of laws passed by legislatures, but a lot of the courts, especially in CA, have been "packed" with judges who don't believe what the constitution says. Also, somebody has to be the guinea pig and sue.

The Left/Communists always re-writes history to fit their needs.
