Two Stage Trigger On an M1A Scout Squad Rifle

I am really sorry for this stupid question. I just purchased an M1A Scout Squad. I have a weird question. (again I apologize if this is so obvious or stupid that I waste your time).

With a two-stage trigger, how can one "decock," the trigger? I just wondered.

It is very nice looking. I have mostly been a hand-gun guy. But now I have started collecting new rifles to shoot (besides my hunting rifle). I just wondered about this strange question. It is probably very obvious. I got a new Henry last month (wow what piece of History), and I have an AR and AK. But this weapon is new to me. If I change my mind and don't want to shoot as I hit the trigger "wall," I wonder how I can go back to safe mode.

That Marlin Kicks like a mule. I have several 45-70 to 45-110 Taylor Rifles (Sharpe's and others). The Marlin Guide gun in the only one that hurts when it fires

So It is half cocked and there is nothing I can do about it. Is this what you are saying? What about if I put the safety on? Or pull the mag and cycle out the round?

The only way you can decock the trigger unit is to unload the rifle and drop the hammer via the trigger. The hammer will not drop with the safety on.

I have the loaded model with the two stage trigger and I've never heard that you can decock it. Like it was said earlier. Remove the mag and eject the round in the chamber. The only Firearms that I've got are my to Sigs P220 DA/SA and my Springfield XDE which also is a DA/SA
