Two Year Old

I didn’t open tthe whole article (the top paragraph was enough to get the gist)... but once again we have some bad PR, never mind the details.
Inherent in the right to own firearms is the responsibility to mitigate unnecessary risks. Just sayin’.

Three days ago a 4 year old died after accidentally shooting himself in the head in Union MO. Apparently the boy found a loaded gun under a couch when his father left the room. The father is facing a number of serious charges and also unlawful possession of a firearm since he was a convicted felon.

Appropriate charges, punishment? Kicking someone when they're very possibly and likely already down on themselves? What's more punishment than losing own child through own negligence? No one, nothing else, can take the place of that particular child. Is very likely a lifelong severe punishment all by itself? Punishment already fits the crime?

The article does not specify the calibre - the .357 pictured is a stock photo, yet it does
say the recoil injured the child. I say he/she is doing pretty good with a DA (if that is
what it was) trigger pull and scoring a hit on two targets. Just needs to work on grip
and recoil management!

Bet Daddy finds a more appropriate place to lay that thing..................

i think it had to have been a semi-automatic. no way could a 2 year old, pull the trigger on a revolver, at least not any of mine.

would have been great had the article been fully explained.

Except he was a felon with a gun. And the dumbass stuck it under a couch cushion with a 4 year old kid running around while he was probably busy smoking meth. F that guy.

Don’t agree at all. Some parents care, some don’t. The point of the law is to be equal to everyone. How they feel about it is beside the point. Not to mention the deterrence factor.
