Looks like Uncle Mike’s are now making premium leather holsters, I have used the nylon holsters over the years for different occasions, always thought they were good quality

Looks like they're sticking with their one size fits many style. Only 5 sizes to fit all guns?
I prefer leather holsters, but I want mine to be specifically molded to fit my gun.
Close enough don't work for quality carry gear.
That’s the way my VersaCarry holsters are, I do have specific leather holsters, but I like the universal fit myself

I have had zero issues with the nylon holsters, when I hunted deer, I always used them to carry my revolvers....

Uncle Mike's does not make quality holsters. If a student showed up with one for one of my classes I would give them a decent holster to use. They are after the lower end of the market. "One size fits many" holsters makes no sense for serious carry or training. I avoid them, they need to go a long way to change my opinion.

A few of the young-ins at work were carrying\using Uncle Mike's duty rigs for work. None ever held up ever. One guy got a decent amount of blood from a car crash victim on his. He called their customer service at the time who advised him to hand wash and scrub it and let it air dry. He did as advised and it was a total loss. Yeah lighter in weight on the hips than traditional leather but doesn't hold up at all or look anywhere near as professional as real leather. But that's for uniformed Police work and I have no experience with their concealment stuff or belts. Just my two cents worth...

Back when I hunted with a handgun, I used an Uncle Mikes. We went swimming when the canoe was swamped, fell down a very steep hill side sliding through brush, thorns and gravel, traveled in all kinds of weather and more than I care to recall. It held up just fine and protected the gun. Okay they are uglier than homemade sin, and no I wouldn't use one for concealed or duty carry. JMHO, if you just want a holster to carry your handgun while boating, hunting, riding the tractor, ATV, Horse, or general woods bumming for what they are they are fine, and I've seen a lot worse holsters.
