I purchased a Savage Stealth in 6.5 Creedmor recently and I'm hoping to get it next week. The 6.5 round is pretty much the same cost as .308 and more accurate at longer ranges.

You’ll love your Ruger Precision 6.5 Creedmor it is probably my favorite rifle. Well that is till late. Springfield is making sure I don’t have an ounce of love for anything other then they’re products.
Yeah I know what you mean. My Ruger is my fav hunting rifle. Saint victor is fav AR.

In my futile search for another 6.5 Swede, I ended up purchasing a 6.5 CM. Local gun shop had it on the used wall, but it had never been fired or had glass on it. The customer had purchased it the previous fall, never hunted with it, and traded it in on a pistol. The shop gave me a great price on it, a Bergara B-14 light hunter. It is indeed light, handy and wonderful to shoot. I took four coyotes this summer all at better than 300 yards, shooting Hornady 95 Gr V-Max. What I experienced over the years with the Swede, it's very capable of taking Deer & Elk at reasonable hunting ranges. Looking at ballistics for the Creedmoor, they are virtually the same, the CM being a short action. Load a 140 Gr Partition, and you will get the game. I would have no hesitation hunting with the CM. I spoke with the folks at Bergara, and they informed me that they do indeed make a Swede, but only market it in Europe.

Regards,
Bill

I keep reading more and more on the 6.5 creedmore, it looks like a real interesting round, .308 fan here, but not to old to try something else

I have read that the 6.5 CM has been used for elk thats what I'm taking to Colorado in Nov. I'm using 140gr and I will keep the shots within 300 yds probably closer shots.
