This may be a handy item to have :)

The kit – which was sold on June 30 in an auction facilitated by U.K.-based Hansons Auctioneers.

The kit originally belonged to a man named Lord William Malcolm Hailey, a former administrator of British India.

Inside the kit were crucifixes, a pair of matching pistols, a brass powder flask, holy water, a Gothic Bible, a wooden mallet, a stake, brass candlesticks, rosary beads and police paperwork from the time.
The items were enclosed in a box with two brass crucifixes on the lid, which are part of the box’s locking mechanism.

I was a young special agent with Air Force OSI in 1975, when the TV series "Nightstalker" starring Darren McGavin was popular. I had an interest in crime scene work, so I was put in charge of our crime scene equipment, which consisted of a collection of toolboxes and briefcases for the various evidence collection supplies and equipment.

I replaced one old beat up cheap briefcase that was falling apart and got an idea. I sharpened a wooden stake, and placed a mallet, cross, mirror, garlic clove, King James Bible, and a silver bullet in the old briefcase and labeled it "Vampire Investigation Kit". I stuck it in with all the other cases and boxes and forgot about it.

Months later the inspector general team was inspecting our detachment and I was called to stand by when the inspector looked over our crime scene equipment. He was about halfway through his inspection when he pulled that shabby old briefcase out and says, "What's this?". I had forgotten about it being in there and thought, "Oh crap I hope he has a sense of humor". He opened the case and broke out laughing, said that was his favorite show. My nickname was The Nightstalker around the detachment for a while afterward. That inspector went on to later become the Director. Oh, to re-live those glory days.

I’m surprised @BET7 hasn’t bought it yet. 😵‍💫🤦‍♂️🧛‍♂️😂😂😂

Or maybe he has.
I'd only buy this to keep it out of the hands of those that want to use it against me 😁, as I am a vampire 🧛‍♂️.
True story: My grandparents (Mother's parents), emigrated from the Astro-Hungarian Empire before WWI, from towns in and around the Transylvania region (Carpathian Mnts.). These towns are now part of Romania as the World Wars shifted boundaries. Henceforth, as a kid, I identified as a vampire and even made a makeshift coffin from a toy chest, complete with velvet drapes I used as a lining. The things some kids will do for fun 😂 😂 (so where can I buy this kit  ;)).
As for the Nightstalker show, I have the series on DVD (loved and watched the show as a teenager). Unfortunately, I don't have the two movies that preceded the series, although I have watched them on Television.

Night Stalker was depicting a vampiric Chicago. If Kolshak came back today his search would take 3 mins if he stopped at city hall.
The TV movie had him chasing a Vampire in Las Vagas. Another movie "The Night Strangler" had Kolchak chasing a Strangler in Seattle Washington. The series as you stated, was set in Chicago. IMDB links below:
