One might guess from the pics that the U2's cruise velocity is significantly lower than than the F-18? I know very little of either's cruise speed....but from all the pics showing the F-18 nose-up...ya-know what I'm asking...

Only the F3D, only straight winged bird in the picture, is in level flight.
You should see what a KC-97 refueling an F4 looks like
