Here’s my issue: it’s a production pistol; if it was a Professional-level piece, hell yes….2k price point does put it in the arena for some others. but i am partial to SA
wife said buy 2 garrisons in stainless steel ..i think she wants a new one as well
going after lunch to see my lgs and see if can shed light on lead time etc
i have yet seen one in the wild, so thats also a big concern.
Specialist all day long over the TRP.I didn't realize they were that expensive. Seems pretty steep for a 1911 with a fair bit of MIM and that isn't built/tuned by the Custom Shop. I'm less interested now. At that price, I'd be looking at a DW Specialist. Or, for several hundred less, I'd try to track down a TRP.
Vickers Master Class .45 ?
I own one, bought NIB 4 (?) yr ago not long after they came out…
$2k ?!? Just looked on Spgfld website and my jaw dropped. They were specifically ‘marketed’ by LV to be an affordable alternative to high $ customs; in his vid he talked about the collaboration and his goal of $1250-1350 price point - somehere in there but DEFINITELY below 1400.
I gave like 1250, iirc.
That’s the thing—a lot of people don’t realize a semi-custom piece is available for very little more than a production gun…At the 2K price range I'd be all over a Les Baer as well. They are shooters and deadly reliable!
Whoever’s name is on the first COVID checks? There was a like new Vickers for private sale a few months ago in northern AZ. If I remember correctly it was $1800. It was very tempting, but I got two Garrisons for less.
Inflation effects everything these days...you know who to thank for that.
