IMO the 6.5CM is ballistically superior, but the .308 is more prevalent until the US armed forces change over to another cartridge (that's started), and the .308/762x51 ammo becomes a lesser factor over-all.
Regardless of how much better ballistically a cartridge is, it still falls on the shooter. 90% of these cartridges are geared for 10% of the shooters. If you dont practice with your rifle, .308 or 6.5cm wont matter squat. A miss is a miss
