Virginia, VA Democrats Reject Bills to Expand Gun Rights in Wake of Huge 2A Rally

Virginia is just one case. How do you feel if they win the election this year & take over the whole thing ? This has been in the planning for years. The election of trump threw a monkey wrench into their plans & whatever it takes. They won't let it happen again. In my humble opinion. It will come down to what the government agencies will do.police, local & state.armed forces etc.how far do you think it will go. it's not just 2nd amendment. It's erosion of our whole way of life.

It's erosion of our whole way of life.
That's the plan.... make the USA like Cuba, Venezuela, China, NoKo you get the idea.
Got to get us disarmed first. How does that get accomplished? Easy! Let 20million + jump the border, give them a whole bunch of free stuff, a drivers license and a ride to the polling booths. Next.... go through the cemeteries and get them back to casting their votes too.
Scary!

Just copied this from the NSSF Bullet point Newsletter under Government Relations. HB421 is quite alarming (I know, all of them are), as it allows local municipalities to set their own firearm restrictions that supersedes the State's constitution (If I read the bill correctly). Law abiding gun owners/carriers must now know each town's restrictions (i.e. I can carry in this town's local park but not the next town over). It's unbelievable what's going on in the great State of Virginia right now. Sad days. ☹

  • The Virginia House of Delegates approved gun control bills including HB 2 (“Universal Background Checks”), HB 421 (guts state preemption law), HB 674 (extreme risk protection order, or “red flag” law), and HB 812 (one handgun per month).

The only possible upside to HB421 could be the 90% of localities in VA who have declared themselves "2A sanctuaries"...perhaps they'll turn the intention of the law on its ear, and show them what we really mean. "What, the state says 'no'? Bag that...HELL YES, here in xyz County!!"

Yeah, I was thinking that when I posted this. I'm not sure how the 2A sanctuaries are being declared. County Sheriff declaring it for the whole county, Local town Police Chiefs, etc. It will be very legally confusing if a local Police Chief in a 2A sanctuary county arrests someone for violating one of it's local restriction. It seems if a local restriction can trump a State mandate, it could do so to a county mandate as well. The only hope would be if ALL municipalities in a 2A sanctuary county follow suit making the legalities (or lack thereof), straight forward. One can only hope for these unfortunate Virginia citizens, that all (or most all) of the municipalities won't add any restrictions that are not already in place.

The most sure-fired method (imo) to rid Virginia of the recent anti-2A laws, and those that submitted and passed those unconstitutional bills, is for every conservative/republican person legally able to vote, to get to the polls next time and vote the traitors out.

Now that they've passed these recents "laws", and have their foot in the door, everyone can standby for further infringements. Power is what they seek, at any cost, even if it ruins this country.

Agreed ScottJ. I'd also like to see some lawsuits brought to the courts (and hope the NRA would be at the forefront since their headquarters resides here), to challenge the constitutionality of these new laws.
