W. German P220

I've been on the lookout for one of these in good condition for a while now, and when I came across this one a couple weeks ago, I didn't hesitate. Manufactured in 1995, in the original box w/paperwork. Sent to the Sig Custom Shop last year for a slide refinish, X-Ray sights and SRT trigger, and a full once-over function check (incl. documentation for this as well). Other than some visible wear on the barrel shroud, it practically looks like a new pistol.

Don’t know if anybody remembers when the 220 first came out here they had the heel mag release, had one of these, eventually traded it for a Colt Python, another one I should have kept, 220 that is.

I think it's probably my favorite of the classic P-series. I have a P220 Combat as well. They handle .45 ACP very nicely.

I have two just like it. The first one I bought in 1985 when I first obtained a CC permit. I mostly carry that one during the winter months.

I traded my Browning BDA/Sig P220 last year. I run my guns to the point of abuse. It was far too pretty for me to run like a rented mule.

I have a friend that bought one around the same time. He is looking to get rid of it. He says he doesn’t shoot it much. I carry it in a shoulder holster during the winter months. If I decide to get another one it will be the Legion model.
