I was thinking along the same lines, my 6" 10mm TRP or Deagle 50AE :sneaky:. Seriously, on the 50AE, I bought a nice handmade shoulder rig from Turkey with 2 mag pouches on the opposite side. I paid $$$s for it, but it fits beautifully.
 
I’ve got two shoulder rigs, each has double mag pouches. One for my XD and one for my 1911 Both rigs are Nylon, I’d love a nice black leather rig but just way to expensive right now.
Chest rig as shown is not my style, for back country I like my right leg thigh holster, perfect height for me to release retention strap and draw without bending at all.

I prefer and use chest holsters when I'm out-and-about in the woods.

Unfortunately this isn't available in a G40 but Diamnd D Leather does have a very nice chester holster (I have one for my 329PD) in a greater variety of handgun models for ~ the same price.
