I’ve had tactical gear for some time now and would like to know how I should wash them, I understand the setup can’t be put in the dryer but I’ve found no washing instructions on any of the pieces. Anyone with ideas??

I appreciate that video, the smaller pieces of this set I don’t see an issue putting in the washing machine on gentle cycle and hanging dry but the vest is to large.
I suppose I should explain my issue.
this complete set has never been used however it has been in storage for a few years and I believe infected with dust mites, every time I handle any parts of it I get itchy all over. Yes very gross I know.
so I’m looking for a way to clean and disinfect.

I've used armored motorcycle riding gear for years (road rash armor, not bullet armor!). Mostly canvas shells with insert-able C3 armor padding. The instructions for those are to simply remove the armor pads from their pockets, run the shell through the wash, and hang dry. If you want, you should be able to hand-wash (dish soap) the inserts while the rest of the stuff is in the laundry. I use warm/cold wash/rinse.

Since the vest is to large and stiff for the washing machine I’m thinking the bathtub soak in detergent and hang dry.

So an update is I threw caution to the wind and threw everything into the washing machine and everything came out clean and in great shape. Everything is hanging to dry.
