Watchdog Group Says ATF Is Scheming to Ban Private Gun Sales

Several decades back the ATF banned the manufacture, distribution, sale, and consumption of alcoholic beverages. It didn't go well. Overnight little old ladies were making gin in their bathtubs (literally) and speakeasy's sprung up everywhere. Songs were written about this epic failure (anyone remember "Thunder Road"?). Nothing makes people want something more than the Government telling them they can't have or do it.
